WHAT?
Book It For Books is RIF NOVA's biannual fund- and fun-raiser! While it has happened for 2025, we are always looking for sponsor and donors. The day was a celebration of books and community -- with a face-painting station, books for children to take home to keep, a Kendra Scott pop-up table, and music provided by Vienna's School of Rock. Our emcee, NBC4 reporter Ted Oberg, was amazing as he led the participants through some pre-race stretching. Of course, our mascot, Clifford the Big Red Dog was there, too, with hugs and high-fives to cheer the crowd. Book It For Books 2025 took place at Lake Accotink Park in Fairfax, Virginia. WHY? Why do we host a biannual Book It For Books? As an organization, this is how we fund the majority of book purchases for the children we serve. Book It For Books 2025 will fund most book purchases for Academic Year 2025-2026. RIF NOVA is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible as allowed by law.
