www.rifnova.org/contact-us.htmlwww.rifnova.org/contact-us.htmlReading Is Fundamental of Northern Virginia, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to motivate children to read by providing them with high-quality, free books of their choosing and to work alongside them, their parents, and their community to make reading a fun and meaningful part of their lives. For 50 years, 1972 to 2022, we have provided books to underserved children in Northern Virginia. As an all-volunteer organization, fundraising to purchase books is a major element in our work.

RIF of NOVA board members and other volunteers work together to distribute free books to children who attend schools, day care centers, and Head Start programs in the City of Alexandria and in Arlington, Fairfax, and Prince William counties. We also give books to young children as they wait for their check-ups at a Fairfax County health center.
                                
Almost 20,000 children choose books during RIF of NOVA book distributions. Our goal is to motivate children to read and share books with their family and friends. 

We strive to put the FUN into reading for young children! We'd love for you to volunteer some of your time or make a donation to help the next generation of readers discover the magic of books.
