Volunteers Like You Make the Difference!
Do you have a passion for children's literacy and exposing young children to the wonderful world of books? Do you want to help RIF of NOVA put children’s books in the hands of deserving children in our community? If so, RIF of NOVA could use your help! Fundraising: Fundraising is our most pressing need as the federal government no longer funds many literacy programs, including RIF. All of our funding needs to be raised locally. Event planning: Do you like to plan events? If so, we would love your help to plan and execute our biannual Book It for Books 5K Race/Walk. The next one is scheduled for October 2023. Soliciting business sponsors and helping with other fundraising activities significantly increases the number of books we can supply to children in our community. Social media expertise: Are you a social media guru? If so, we would use your help to spread the word about RIF of NOVA's many activities! Book Drives: Interested in setting up a book drive to collect new and/or (very) gently used books? Would you like to help distribute books at book donation events? If so, come join us. Wait until you see the joy on a child's face when receiving a book to own! |
Leadership: Do you have skills running an organization? Do you have financial or organizational skills? Again, we could use your help to work with schools, parent-teacher organizations, businesses, and more! Please join our board!
We are a hands-on all-volunteer organization, and there’s plenty of work to do!
