Children were particularly excited about getting books during the pandemic year when many had no access to books because of school library closures. Students at Patrick Henry K-8 School in Alexandria chose RIF of NOVA books during a "Fall into a good book" event before Halloween in October 2020. Why do the kids love to read? Just listen!

Dr. Ingrid Bynum, Executive Principal, Region 3, Fairfax County Public Schools, gave a powerful testimonial about RIF of NOVA at an October 2020 book distribution at Alexandria's Patrick Henry K-8 School, where she was then principal. She grew up in an impoverished area of Richmond and came to love reading because of the RIF books she received as a child. She is now a great supporter of RIF of NOVA books for her students, noting in the video that because of RIF of NOVA, parents did not have to choose between reading materials for their children and food when schools were closed. Did getting RIF books as a child affect her career choice? Absolutely yes! Just listen!
At a RIF of NOVA book distribution at Bailey's Elementary School at the end of summer 2020, two moms -- both "RIF kids" as children -- talked about their love of books and RIF!
