VOTES FOR WOMEN -- VOTES FOR BOOKS 2020 APPEAL
NOVA RIF'S 2020 fundraising appeal officially ended on Election Day, November 3, 2020. Supporters donated funds, collected almost-new-gently-used books, and submitted stories of inspirational women to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution giving many women the right to vote. Together, we met our goal, raising just over $15,000! What does this mean? Five thousand -- 5,000 -- children will be able to choose a book of their own, often for the first time ever!
Though the official campaign period has ended, we are grateful for your continuing support to provide books to children in the Northern Virginia region who, without our support, might not have any books at home. This is particularly critical during the pandemic when school libraries are closed and children have little to no access to books. Please consider a contribution at any time. All dollars go to support books for NOVA RIF kids in our community.
